Nation's Noodle and Nation's Pasta are lip-smackingly tasty on their own, but some people's noodle lovin' extends way beyond the humble pot. Welcome to the laboratory of noodle loopiness, where pies, toasties and wraps are the noodle norm.

Check out the recipes below and prepare to be enlightened. And if you thought vodka and noodles couldn't be successfully combined, it's time to think again...

Cheesy Pasta Tuna Bake

Cheesy Pasta Tuna Bake by Andy B, Wolverhampton

A no-nonsense tuna bake - ready in half the time.

Ingredients:

  • 1 Pot of Nation's Pasta Macaroni Cheese Flavour
  • 1 small tin of tuna, drained
  • Handful of grated cheese (ideally Gruyere, but Cheddar will do)
  • Freshly ground black pepper

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 180C.
  2. Prepare the noodles according to the instructions on the pack (try not to overcook).
  3. Mix the tuna in well and transfer to an oven-proof dish.
  4. Sprinkle the top with cheese and put in bake until golden brown.

Top Tip:

Eat with hot, crusty bread for added yum!

Wainy's Chinese Chicken Wrap

Give us one good reason why you shouldn't have noodles in a wrap?

Ingredients:

  • Pot of Nation's Noodle Sweet and Sour Noodle Flavour
  • Pre-cooked Chicken pieces
  • 1 tortilla style wrap
  • Grated cheese
  • Caribbean-style sauce (or similar)
  • Mixed peppers and onions - chopped

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the noodles according to the instructions on the pack.
  2. Lay tortilla wrap on clean, flat surface.
  3. Place chicken pieces in a line down the centre of the wrap, leaving around one-inch gap at the bottom.
  4. Use a fork to add some noodles to your wrap (you won’t need the full pot – finish the rest as an side dish)
  5. Liberally pour Caribbean sauce over chicken.
  6. Add grated cheese and mixed peppers and onions.
  7. Fold up the wrap in style of a tortilla wrap.

Top Tip:

Be sure to fold well to avoid any unexpected drippage!

Noodle Toasties

Noodle Toasties by Ava, County Durham

Love toasties? Love noodles? Why separate the two?

Ingredients:

  • Block of Nation's Noodle flavour of your choice
  • 2 pieces of bread
  • Butter (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the noodles according to the instructions on the pack.
  2. Toast two pieces of bread and spread with butter if desired.
  3. Pour the prepared noodles onto one of the slices of toast, place the other on top and press down firmly. This can be done within a toastie machine if you have one.

Top Tip:

If toasties aren't your thing, try it as a tasty sandwich instead.

Ingredients:

  • Pot of Nation's Noodle Chicken and Mushroom Flavour
  • 1 chopped spring onion
  • Handful of chopped mushrooms
  • Handful of shredded lamb
  • Chilli oil

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the noodles according to the instructions on the pack.
  2. Chuck in the onion, mushroom and lamb, and stir well.
  3. Drizzle with chilli oil to taste, and enjoy.

Top Tip:

Add some chopped chillies for a real tongue-twisting kick!

Nation's Noodle Pie

Nation's Noodle Pie by Karen L, Dundee

Tip-top noodle nosh, just like Mum used to make.

Ingredients:

  • Block of Nation's Noodle Flavour of your choice (Chicken and Mushroom or Beef and Tomato probably work best)
  • Pre-made pastry from the supermarket
  • 1 egg, beaten (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 200C.
  2. Prepare the noodles according to the instructions on the pack and pour into an oven-proof dish.
  3. Roll out and cut the pastry to size and place over the dish, sealing the edges.
  4. Brush some of the egg over the pastry.
  5. Bake in oven until crust is golden brown.

Top Tip:

Why not add vegetables and cooked meats to add even more flavour?

Chicken Super Noodle Udon

Chicken Super Noodle Udon by Steve, Plymouth

Create a real stir with noodle soup, Eastern-style.

Ingredients:

  • Block of Nation's Noodle Chicken and Mushroom Flavour
  • 1 clove of garlic, crushed or finely chopped
  • 1 fresh chilli
  • 1 spring onion
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon of fish sauce
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper for seasoning

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the noodles according to the instructions on the pack. Add some more liquid to create a broth.
  2. Season the chicken with salt and pepper, then cut into bite-size chunks.
  3. Fry half the garlic, onions and chillies in the oil and fish sauce. Remove from pan before they start to brown.
  4. Turn up heat and fry chicken in the same pan with the seasoned oil.
  5. Throw in the rest of the ingredients to the pan and fry until chicken is fully cooked.
  6. Add the contents of the pan to the chicken noodle broth and serve.

Top Tip:

For an extra-authentic touch, try eating the noodles with chopsticks. Just keep a tissue to hand for inadvertent splats.

Noodle Italiano

The noodly food of love, from the people that brought you the language of love.

Ingredients:

  • 1 Pot of Nation's Noodle Beef and Tomato Flavour
  • 1 clove of garlic, finely chopped
  • 1/2 onion, finely chopped
  • 1 can of chopped tomatoes
  • Pack of Italian Salami/Chorizo/Pepperoni
  • Jar of Italian seasoning

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the noodles according to the instructions on the pack.
  2. Chop and fry the Italian Salami/Chorizo/Pepperoni with the onion and garlic.
  3. Add the tin of chopped tomatoes and cook down for 5 minutes.
  4. Sprinkle on some Italian seasoning.
  5. Add the noodles, then cook for further 5 minutes and serve.

Top Tip:

Prepare the ingredients whilst warbling your favourite Pavarotti aria. It's embarrassingly satisfying.

Cheese, Bacon and Leek Pasta

Cheese, Bacon and Leek Pasta by Ian, Swindon

A cheese-tastic twist on pasta bakes, without the wait.

Ingredients:

  • Pot of Nation's Pasta Macaroni Cheese Flavour
  • 2-3 rashers of bacon
  • 1/2 finely chopped leek
  • 1 knob of butter

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the noodles according to the instructions on the pack.
  2. Meanwhile, grill the bacon and fry the leeks in a pan with the knob of butter.
  3. Stir the noodles into the leeks.
  4. Cut the cooked bacon into small strips, then and add to the noodles and leek mixture. Cook for a further minute and serve.

Top Tip:

Sprinkle some more cheese on top for an extra-cheesy bite.

Chicken Chow Mein

Chicken Chow Mein by Will, Leeds

Chow down on this souped-up version of a classic Chinese favourite.

Ingredients:

  • Pot of Nation's Noodle Chow Mein Flavour (or Chicken and Mushroom will do!)
  • 1 chicken breast, cut into strips
  • 1 pinch of chilli powder (to taste)
  • 1 spring onion
  • Handful of bean sprouts
  • 1/2 red pepper - sliced
  • Soy sauce

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the noodles according to the instructions on the pack.
  2. Place the chicken strips into a bowl and season with soy sauce and the chilli powder.
  3. Heat a wok until smoking then cook the chicken until golden-brown and cooked through.
  4. Add the red pepper, bean sprouts and spring onion and stir for 30 seconds.
  5. Stir in the cooked noodles and season with soy sauce.

Top Tip:

Scoop into prawn crackers for a truly Oriental treat.

Spicy Chicken Noodle Soup

Spicy Chicken Noodle Soup by Bridget, Abergavenny

Noodle soup with a kick. And an interesting twist on boring old chicken soup if you’re recovering from the sniffles.

Ingredients:

  • Block of Nation's Noodle Chicken and Mushroom noodles
  • 1 chopped spring onion
  • Handful of washed baby spinach
  • Pinch of chilli powder (to taste)
  • Table spoon of Soy Sauce (or to taste)
  • Sesame seeds to garnish (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the noodles according to the instructions on the pack, adding more water to create a broth. Bring to a light simmer.
  2. Throw in all the other ingredients and allow the spinach to cook down before serving.

Top Tip:

Add other ingredients like cooked chicken pieces and different vegetables to make this soup your own.
